Housing analysts are predicting that buyers who keep getting shut out may soon find better luck.
There are two fundamental reasons for that.
Increase in inventory. During December through March of this last year, housing inventory in Snohomish county was in the 200s; from July through September, it's been in the 700s. That's a three-and-a-half time increase from what it was just seven months!
Increase in interest rates. They've leveled around three percent now, but they're creeping up to what they're going to be, approximately 3.25 in the next week or so.
