Historically known as the "Strawberry City", Marysville holds an annual strawberry festival in the third week of June. However, there is much more to Marysville than that little red fruit.

Marysville is the second-largest city in Snohomish County, As of 2015, the city surpassed Edmonds and Lynnwood, with a growth of 2.5% population increase per year. With new housing and industrial areas under construction, the city also opened a second high school.

Tucked in off of 35th Ave SE, in-between Seattle Hill Road and 132nd St SE, is the under development, but open to the public, Penny Creek Natural Area.
