Kirkland

Kirkland is a city in King County, in a suburb east of Seattle. The name is familiar to many because Costco's previous headquarters was in Kirkland, where the brand "Kirkland Signature" originates.

The city has its own downtown waterfront, with plenty of restaurants, art galleries, public parks, and beaches. You may see bronze sculptures scattered across downtown, part of Kirkland's collection of public art. Outside of downtown, we highly recommend visiting Juanita Beach Park. The park offers fun outdoor amenities and activities for families, including volleyball areas, tennis courts, an open-air amphitheater, and walking paths along the beach. If you are into biking or up for a longer walk, check out Cross Kirkland Corridor Trail. This 5.75 mile trail runs from the South Kirkland Park through the heart of Kirkland, towards Totem Lake. Kirkland is part of the Lake Washington School District, which also serves neighboring Redmond, parts of Bothell, Woodinville, and Sammamish.
