Redmond

Redmond is located in King County, 15 miles east of Seattle. It is commonly recognized as the home of Microsoft and Nintendo of America, as well as the "Bicycle Capital of the Northwest." One of the most popular parks is Marymoor Park, which features a climbing rock and an outdoor theater, in addition to many events that are held regularly. Also, this is a great place to bring your dog, as they have a great off-leash dog park. To the east of the park, there are nature preserves where you might see beaver lodges, heron nests, and maybe even raptors. Other outside top attractions in Redmond include Sammamish River Trail and Idylwood Beach Park

If you enjoy shopping, make sure to check out Redmond Town Center. They have over 120 stores and 20 restaurants, right in the heart of downtown Redmond.  A 5-minute drive will bring you to Black Raven Brewing Company, where they make delicious craft brews in-house.

Redmond is part of the Lake Washington School District, which also encompasses Kirkland, and parts of Sammamish and Woodinville.
